Diving into costuming
I admit it, I got overwhelmed right away. There is so much to this artistry that I have so much more respect for cosplayers and the...
Join the 501st as Kylo Ren
I have wanted to be a part of the 501st from the first time I read about them visiting sick kids in the hospital. What an amazing way to show your passion for Star Wars and making kids smile. I want to be a part of this magic. While I don't know the first thing about cosplay, I am about to find out.
Earn an on-screen credit in a Star Wars movie or TV show
I know many Star Wars fans have longed to be a part of this galaxy far far away. We've pretended to fight along side our heroes, we immerse ourselves in the movies, games, and now a theme park. I will explore and do what it takes to find my way on the set of a production, even if that means I'm wearing an alien suit!
Lend my voice to a Disney or Pixar film
Voice acting was an early dream of mine. I've always loved to make voices that make people laugh, especially my kids. The passion and hard work that these talented actors put into their characters is something I admire and I'd love for a chance to voice a goofy character for my girls to watch on repeat on Disney+.
Drive and report on every Ford vehicle in their lineup
Ford Motor Company is my third love behind only my family and Star Wars. While I'm not a "car guy", I love the technology and innovation. When we buy or lease a car, we have that car for 3+ years... How do we know what is really the best car for us? I want to spend a month with each one and share my experience.
Release a professionally recorded song
I have been messing around with an acoustic guitar for more than half my life. I wrote little riffs and lines here and there, but I've never compiled a complete song. I think it's time to sit down, bring all my ideas together and professionally record a song. I think it will be fun to explore what it will take to produce a song.
Break bread with celebrities that have inspired me
Everyone has their own definition of what a Legend is to them. My dream is to buy each of the following people a lunch and have a nice chat:

John Williams, Dwayne Johnson, Justin Timberlake, George Lucas, Kristen Bell, Chris Hardwick, Ellen DeGeneres, Jonny Hawkins, and Bill Ford
Author an adapted screenplay of a favorite book
I struggled for almost my entire childhood with reading comprehension. One book that I found that helped me overcome this is Running Out of Time by Margaret Peterson Haddix. It's an amazing story and I have some interesting ideas on how it could be brought to the visual medium
Receive an honorary doctorate degree from LTU
I joked that after earning two Master's degrees, the only way I'd go back to school is by teaching or receiving an honorary doctorate. I will do what I can to use my education and experience to contribute to the world around me. Hopefully one day I will be giving a commencement speech to a room full of graduates from LTU.
Host a podcast about our nostalgia for entertainment
I've had an idea for awhile now to explore nostalgia and how our tastes change regarding entertainment. I want to host a podcast to discuss a movie, music, etc. that is at least 10 years old. Explore what our nostalgia for that work is, then experience again, and reflect on what changed. It could be a funny look back at the world we know as kids.
Introduce my girls to this amazing and diverse world
It is critical for my girls to experience how vast this world is. I want to make sure they get a chance to learn about different cultures and see first-hand what makes them all special. I want to take my kids to all 50 states before they graduate high school as well as experience international travel
Give to others for the sake of giving
Started by philanthropist Bill Pulte, there is a movement of using social media in great ways. Bill is giving away money at random to people in need to help with things such as paying for groceries, paying down bills, even buying people AC units, cars, and more. I want to do the same in small but meaningful ways for parents, kids, and teachers.
Stay tuned...
